living in hamburg, germany, gulliver theis has been working since 1999 as a freelance photographer. he has won many prizes for his work, which moves in a creative triangle between editorial contributions, advertising and travel photography. his approach is based on an interchange of tension between opposite poles – staged scenes as against the inspired coincidence. his portfolio includes photographs of cars in a natural or architectural setting, as well as photos of people. he has worked for magazines like vogue, wallpaper, zeit leben [time & life] and the new times magazine, as well as for clients like bbdo, jung von matt, scholz & friends, ogilvy & mather and publicis. a selection of his customers: coca-cola, daimlerchrysler, motorola, panasonic, t-mobile.
