VITA

ofer wolberger was born in new york city and has lived there ever since. after studying film and photography, he started to work as a freelance photographer in 2001. people in an architectural setting are a central theme of wolberger’s photographic work, as are portraits of interesting personalities. for him there are no fixed aesthetic categories. ofer wolberger aims to reveal beauty, so a diner in the mid-west may appeal to him as a motif just as much as the mythically charged architecture of a structure like the flat iron building. in terms of the photographic process, wolberger tries to make the most of the possibilities offered by his camera before going on to process his images electronically. he works for agencies like fcb and ogilvy & mather, and for magazines like big, new york times magazine, newsweek and village voice.
